GIVE YOUR ALL

Hello Everyone!! Lets see... not much time. Like always.... Pansensyia talaga! (really sorry)
Well, this week has been quite... heartbreaking but also inspiring.

I have talked a little bit about the "Malicsi" family but I don't know if I had told you their name. It is a family of seven. Five little kids and then the mom and dad. We have been teaching them for a few weeks now and they are so amazing and sweet! This week we were able to do a service for them. Sister Bagacina and I decided that we would clean their "house". It is so humbling to see when a family has absolutely nothing but trash and rats in their home. The next day we were able to pick up the two little girls and take them to church with us. Again, so humbling seeing the kids eat their cup of rice with a little bit of salt to add some flavor.
I want you all to know how hard it is to be offered a little bit of food, when you know that that is all they have. You kindly say that you have already eaten but they insist because they want to serve you so badly! That is a little bit of what I want to talk about right now.
I have learned very quickly while being out here, that Filipinos will do everything they can do serve and give even when they have nothing to give. They will serve you and make sure you are comfortable even after working all day in this extremely hot and humid weather.
I have learned that I need to be more like God's children in this part of the world. I need to ask myself at the end of each day... have I given everything that I can to those around me and especially... Have I given my all to my Heavenly Father who has literally given me everything? If I haven't, I need to make sure I say sorry and then work harder the next day.

Are we doing everything we can to show our love for our Heavenly Father and to those around us? If not, I want to challenge everyone to serve more. Don't worry about the worldly things that can break and get dirty. Worry about the things that will last forever. The things that are eternal. I love you all and am sorry for spelling mistakes/grammar mistakes and for the short time.

I hope you all have a good day! Mahal Ko Kayo!!

Those are pictures of the balut in california. And so much more out here :)
p.s. Dad, my mission president said the my "return with honor" ring that i wear everyday... Said that it is the best reminder that he has ever seen for a missionary. So thank you.

Mom, thank you for letting me know your address. I have some letters to send you guys :)
